Webio Takes Home Two AI Awards Ireland 2022

Webio had a spring in its step as the company walked away with two awards at the 2002 AI Awards Ireland in the categories "Best Use of AI in a Consumer/Customer Service Application" and "Best Use of Responsible AI & Ethics".

There were 12 award categories up for grabs covering a wide range, from AI in large enterprises to AI in SMEs, research to startups, AI for social good to AI used ethically. The attendees at the awards represented a vibrant group who thrive on creating innovative technology.

This is the second year in a row that Webio has won the "Best Use of AI in a Consumer/Customer Service Application" category. Webio continues to innovate based on the conviction that conversational AI is making customer engagement personal and helpful to the consumer, and also making life easier for the companies as large volumes of customer conversations can be carried out each day with impressive returns.

In the "Best Use of AI in a Consumer/Customer Service Application", Webio was in good company. The other finalists were: Genesys, Shopbox and Sonalake.

The new category, "Best Use of Responsible AI & Ethics", also had formidable entrants: Worldwide, Adapt and Shutterstock. This award has special meaning for Webio as we believe technology has great power and that it should be used reponsibly to better our lives.

Qamir Hussain, Head of Machine Learning and AI at Webio, said:

"It's an absolute honour to be considered alongside great companies doing really interesting work, all of whom are helping people solve everyday problems using AI. Winning awards for Ethics and Best Use of AI in a Customer Service Application could only have been achieved with dedicated teams like the ones we have at Webio. No single team can deliver this - I'd like to thank Marketing, Sales, DevOps, Operations, and Tech in making this happen. It's been hard work and we're only just getting started."

Webio is not slowing down as the new Entity Gathering feature is rolled out to complement the Propensity Studio that makes AI and Machine Learning even more effective at handling customer engagement.

These two awards come hot on the heels of the "Best Use of Technology" award at the Credit & Collections Technology Awards earlier in November this year.
