Europe’s first conference dedicated to conversational interfaces - which is returning to Dublin on September 6th following a highly successful inaugural event last year.
ConverCon brings together the world’s leading conversational interface companies, technology enablers and CX design experts to share learnings and experiences around voice-based personal assistants, messaging, chatbots and conversational computing.
Experts from industry-leading platform players - Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Facebook - will join Webio and other companies active in this space such as Intercom, Each&Other and EdgeTier.
Keynote speakers this year include:
- Max Amordeluso, EU lead evangelist, Amazon Alexa
- Alec Saunders, senior director, Microsoft Business AI
- Stephen Mailey, senior interaction designer at Google
- Mitch Lieberman, conversational intelligence analyst, Opus Research
Patricia Scanlon, founder and CEO at Soapbox Labs whose is MC for the conference said "I have been involved in the voice technology space for over 20 years, but 2018 is definitely the year that this technology has gone mainstream. It's currently the hottest area in Artificial Intelligence right now. I'm really excited to hear from the many global experts speaking at the event who are actively bringing this innovative voice and messaging technologies into our lives."
Organised by Irish start-up and conversational middleware company Webio where Paul Sweeney is EVP of Product, the conference will take place in Microsoft’s HQ in Leopardstown, Dublin over a full day to facilitate a larger audience and a wider array of talks this year.
“ConverCon 2017 was oversubscribed, so this year we‘ve gone bigger in terms of duration and venue,” said Sweeney. “We’ll also go deeper on content in response to the feedback from the attendees last year.”
Through breakout sessions and panel discussions, ConverCon will address important emerging themes such as data ethics and ethical AI; data security and compliance; cultural, gender, and personality factors that should be factored into global deployments; and the surprisingly practical elements that must be designed in for great user experiences.
Speaking of the conference format Sweeney added: “This year attendee numbers are limited to 150 so that ConverCon remains an intimate event where people in the industry can have open and frank conversations with one another about what it will take for this technology and this industry to succeed.”
ConverCon will take place on September 6th, 2018 and runs from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Check it out here!
